Bible Trivia II

What are your favorite Bible books, and favorite verse?
My favorite books are Acts, Daniel, Revelation, and Isaiah.
The notable verse, and explanation are:
Isaiah 66:20"Then they shall bring all your brethren for an offering to the LORD out of all nations, on horses and in chariots and in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem,” says the LORD, “as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD."
This verse reminds me that when I come before God for Church, Christian service, or Bible reading I must have all my known sins cleaned up (confessed). This is a great goal to work towards of the week. Making sure your life is a clean vessel ready to be used by God.

I love the books of Luke, Philippians, and Ruth. My all-time favorite verses is Pslam 84:11, and then I like that one in Hebrews where Paul writes that God says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." I can't remember the citation, though!

To answer your question, the reference is Hebrews 13:5.

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

Chapter 84 of psalms was a great blessing to me, thank you. Verse 84:10 is one verse that jumped out at me. It relates back to my life well.

Pslams 84:10 "For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness."

I also really like Jeremiah 24:11 (I think that's it - it's the verse that says "For I know the plans I have for you..." And I also really like the book of Nehimiah, too!

Did you check out Nehimiah 4:14. It gives a great example that God approves of defensive wars. So this would lead me to examine America's wars over our 200 years. Almost all or our wars were in defense of ourselves or to liberate others. America has been living up to the quote in the Battle hymn of the Republic, "As He died to make men holy, so we should live to make men free."
