Deep Freeze Part II

Here are the rest of the photos of the days after the big snow in the last part of January. The snow reminded me of this Bible verse "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
Isaiah 1:18

David+

A Snowman, actually he is a Snow Moses. See the Ice 10 Commandments he is holding on his right and left side.

My mom and I started shoveled the driveway with dustpans :)

Then after a very cold walk around the the block a Navy man loaned us his shovel. That made good work out of the driveway. It was not so cold once we were out working for a while.

Art #1 The lighting on this photo is great. Right behind our trash can is our garden with collards planted in it, now all covered.

Art #2 The side lawn, no need to cut the grass now :)

Art #3 The irrigation trench by our house.

Art, our forest by our house.

Have you ever seen icicles in southern Virginia!

Semper Fi! A snow marine.

"Our flag's unfurled to every breeze
From dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun;
In the snow of far-off Northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes;
You will find us always on the job
The United States Marines."

Our pet mouse gimpy freezing in the snow :)
His name is gimpy because two of his legs are stumps. His tail is half as long. He is sweet.

Emily and I ice sliding behind the car. We each took turns.

Here is my mom sliding while my sister drives.

A 10 acre farm near one of our freeways. It looks beautiful with or without snow.

Piles of snow in a mall parking lot.

Then my mom and I went sledding on the embankment of the freeway. Some friendly people loaned us their sled and buggy board. The bugey board was the fastest.

It was fast and thrilling.

But not without slide outs.

My mom tried.

There she goes.

Walking back up.

We are so blessed to have the snow and memories.
